Welcome

Plumtree is a family-run school which provides a supportive environment where children are seen and treated as individuals. They prosper from the highly personalised education and grow into confident, well-rounded and kind young people. Every Plumtree child is known, nurtured and celebrated.

Our school values lie at the heart of all we do and help to bring our close-knit community together, in which every child is encouraged to develop a strong sense of responsibility and play a meaningful role. The small class sizes and pupil to staff ratios help the children to realise their true potential. Plumtree's curriculum is diverse, vibrant and enriched with life-enhancing opportunities.

I feel privileged to be a member of the Plumtree family and part of the journey which every child makes to grow their roots and spread their wings.

A strong sense of community pervades the school, an overwhelming majority of pupils agreeing in the questionnaire that the school teaches them how to build positive friendships and relationships.

Communication is strong, both regarding school matters and individual children matters. Particularly like the activities/trips undertaken as part of the curriculum which are not desk based. I feel it enhances the learning. The range of extra curricular clubs is good.

Children are encouraged to be proud of their differences and similarities, to strive to do their best and the teachers are amazing! The teachers know the needs and personality of each child and enhance their learning with this knowledge.

The staff all seem to know the children, even those they do not teach. This gives a great feeling of a large family. Our children have progressed significantly since joining and always seem to be happy.
